Analogy for the House of Cups
Updated: Oct 20, 2022

Let's say you are going to live the story of the house of cups. You are young and you and your family have moved to a new town, the Ace, that fresh start, where people welcome you, you get attention, goodwill and social responsiveness, perhaps a fling with someone may rise while people are all excited about you. Deuces, you make your first friend in town, this is a strong bond, it's your standing point in this new environment, it is meant to last, you talk about eachother's background, you form a connection, empathy, friendship and it may even be love. Three, your new friend introduces you to their friends, you are now part of a group, you feel welcomed, grateful and happy. Four, you seem to have all you need for a fewsh good start, yet you are not as grateful as you should be, wishful thinking, you start focusing on your lacks. Five, you yearn all the friends you left behind and lost, you mourn them, turning your back to your new friends, still standing by. Six, you are sort of homesick, you start thinking the good days are gone, and start talking and remembering your "war stories" the "good old days" making them perhaps much brighter than they actually were. On 7 you have to make a decision, it is time to adjust, and start moving on, it hurts but you do it. On 8, you finally have chosen to stop mourning about the past, it is just not working for you, a door was closed behind, but another is open ahead. On 9 of Cups your new friends welcome you back, they support you and you are enjoying this different version of life, your dream of feeling you are home is turning true, and on 10, your new friends are now known and accepted by your family, quite a while has gone by, and although from afar, you still have contact with your old friends and they have come to visit, you all gather in your new home and have a happy reunion, you feel uplifted happy and close to people you love.
Cup Court cards as parts of self:
Page could be that curious, childlike, and even fearful feeling of arriving at an unknown place, the knight would be that force that lead you to go out and meet people, queen could be that forgiving and compassionate act towards self, of accepting the sadness of what was left behind and allow yourself to move on, king would be the attitude where you take a grip of your new life and feel in home anew.
Cup Court cards as other people:
The page could be the person bringing the news you have to move, or could be the first new friend you make in this new town, knight would be those who make you meet new people, those who introduce you to their friends, those who take you out and show you around, queens can be those welcoming people, that lady who brings a basket full of snacks so you don't have to worry about cooking after your first tiresome day of moving, kings would be those paternal figures that appear, community leaders, school teachers, parents of friends that take you under their wing.
